Independence Day Celebration

Location: KenBridge School, Vijayawada

Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students at KenBridge School, Vijayawada. Celebrations began with a welcome song by the students from Std. 3 to Std. 5. Chief Guest for the celebrations was Dr. Tarun Choudhary (Asst. Professor in Accident & Emergency Medicine, NRI Academy of Sciences). Mr. Choudhary addressed the gathering about inculcating and following healthy habits, maintaining hygiene, and as healthy citizens, creating a healthier society and country. Students sang the national anthem and flag song, followed by some splendid dance performances by the students. Ms.Tejashree (Class 5 student) enlightened the gathering with her speech on national leaders and freedom movement.

The celebration concluded with an inspirational note from the Prinicipal Ms.Vijayshree where she highlighted the importance of values, ethics and morals in life. She also quoted Anna Hazare as the person instrumental in starting a revolution by non-violent means.

Parents and children had an enjoyable day at school and pledged that ‘School and Home are the temples of learning where changes must be initiated to build a beautiful country for us and others to live.
